656 South Coast Highway 101 is home to 1st Street Bar in Encinitas. Although we are just starting our fifth year in business, 1st Street has been around many years and has also been home to several different establishments prior to now. Just before 1st Street was established,“Ireland’s Own Pub” was in business and was never short on a good bar story! With Harleys driving through the back door and straight out the front, you had better keep your head up and beer in hand!

Our building has a tremendous history dating back to the late 1800’s when it was built. At one time, the property was owned by Sydney Chaplin, comedian and brother of the famous Charlie Chaplin. This is just one of the real estate investments the two had in the City of Encinitas. These historical comedic roots are, in fact, how we developed our management style at 1st Street…just kidding, Shaun.

1st Street was a regrouping of partners from years past to come together again and make a run at it in beautiful Encinitas. Over these last four years, we’ve had a great time putting this place together and it’s for one reason…our crowd! 1st Street has been greatly supported by our regulars, who are an awesome group of locals that have made this the place to hang in Encinitas! 1st Street is a locals bar on the 101, as it’s always been, and truly a great place to celebrate with friends – old or new.
